Under the Resolution, the Government should elaborate action plan on preparation and holding of a jubilee, stipulating in particular:
organization and holding of celebration of the 200th birth anniversary of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko in the capital of Ukraine – the Hero City Kyiv, involving representatives of state authority, bodies of local self-government, deputy and diplomatic corps; public, religious and international organizations; scientists; Ukrainian Diaspora; delegations from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, oblasts, the city of Kyiv and Sevastopol; as well as holding of celebrations in oblast and regional centers, populated areas connected with Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko’s life and other populated areas.;
laying flowers to memorials and monuments to Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko;
taking measures on promoting implementation of public, particularly, youth initiatives that aim at consolidation of society;
All-Ukrainian and regional exhibitions of achievements of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko;
broadcasting of documentaries on Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko’s life and activities on nationwide and regional TV channels;
measures aimed at celebration of the 200th birth anniversary of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko at the international level, etc.
The State committee for Television and radio Broadcasting is recommended to ensure extended coverage, including abroad, of measures on preparation and celebration of the 200th birth anniversary of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko; organize holding of thematic radio and television programs.
The Ukrainian State enterprise of postal connection “Ukrposhta” is suggested issue series of postage stamps devoted to the 200th birth anniversary of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
